HEAT will shorten the life of your transmission dramatically. The ideal operating temperature of an automatic transmission is 180℉ or less. When pulling trailers or under racing conditions we recommend installing a stacked plate design auxiliary transmission cooler because they are extremely efficient which in turn will help extend the life of your transmission. All auxiliary transmission coolers installed at Circle D Transmission are professionally hard mounted as shown in picture. We choose not to use the plastic tie-strap installation method since it's not as durable.
